Despite all challenges I faced, I always found solace in video games. They provided me with an escape route from the disorder of my real life and allowed me to lose myself in virtual worlds. I spent hours upon hours playing games, honing my skills as time went on.

Then, someday, something altered my life for good. I was enjoying a game online with a handful of friends when I was suddenly lost connection from the server. At first, I thought it was just a glitch, but as it turned out, my internet service had been cut off due to an outstanding bill that my parents had neglected to pay.

I was crushed. How to figure out how to play my favorite games without any access to internet? Still, rather than wallow in self-pity, I resolved to take matters into my own hands. I started saving up my allowance and doing freelance work for neighbors in order to pay for my own internet service. It was not an easy, but eventually, I was able to get back online and continue the games that I loved.
